Andris Strals Potters Bar, UK

I make legacy systems fast, testable, and safe to change.

I've spent thirty years building embedded and real-time software for systems that have to work: cardiac monitors, radiotherapy hardware, satellite antennas, warehouse robots, and low-latency exchange feeds.

My work is usually deep inside a legacy C++ or C codebase, making it faster, safer to change, and better tested without breaking what already ships. I also help client teams pick up the Agile and engineering practices that keep them shipping after I leave.

what I keep coming back to

Deterministic timing. Legacy C++ I can change without fear. Test suites that catch the bug before the customer does. Teams that keep shipping after I leave.
